The snappy teaser showcases a bit of the humor that has come to represent the sitcom, and it also teases more from Roz (Marsha Warfield) who was an original series character that made a surprise reappearance in the season 1 finale. Night Court season 2 will return with a special episode on December 23rd, 2023, before returning in earnest on January 2nd, 2024.

There’s not been much revealed about the story of Night Court season 2, though where season 1 left things created some obvious directions for the overarching plot. Since Abby is now single after her engagement to Rand fell through, there will likely be some kind of romance involved for Melissa Rauch’s character when Night Court returns. Everything else is impossible to predict since it is a sitcom, but it can be expected that there will be even more disorder in the court when Night Court season 2 comes back in December.
